Apart from paperwork having to do with getting an import license in Saskatchewan, the main challenges an importer faces include the following:

• Have recourse if goods do not arrive in good conditions.
• Active monitoring of processes locally to ensure a fair production / manufacturing environment. (i.e. the "sweat shop clause" )
